Empower women to gain access to appropriate services, through which they may develop confidence, self-esteem and independence
Enhance women's training, employment and enterprising skills
Enable women to flourish and live a full life in the community as well as in society at large
BYM's women's Centre of Execellence provides facilities to all women who may face any form of social, cultural, educational or economic exclusion, with particular reference to BME groups.
Health & Women:
BYM (WCOE) has developed a partnership with Social Action for Health to deliver a "Self Management of Health" course for eight weeks. The course is aimed at women with conditions such as high or low blood pressure, dialysis, incontinence, diabetes, depression and stress, or poor health in general.
Fashion Design and Sewing:
It has been a tradition at the Organisation to continue providing sewing classes for women for many decades. These sessions are used by women of all ages and we have found that this is a tool by which women are attracted to the centre.
